Lush 9 to 5

Recently i have been using the Lush 9 to 5 cleanser, its very milky and soft. The cleanser is pretty cheap, around £4 i think, its smaller than my usual cleanser but im really starting to love it. It removes all left over make up and moisturises too. The great thing is it has NO smell, i hate a cleanser with a smell, it just makes me feel sick when its on my face. This cleanser is also great because its not tested on animals and handmade in the shop, i love that about Lush.

All in all, i would recommend this product and i think its a great cleanser.

I went shopping in Norwich today, i was so impressed with what i got. I spent a long time in House of Fraser and got some urban decay stuff. I got the Eyeshadow Primer Potion and the All Nighter spray its amazing but im yet to use it all day/night.

I also had my eyebrows threaded today, it was really good very painful but im so impressed with the results! It was only £9 and took about 15 mins, the pain was weird like i knew it was coming and i think that makes it worse. I really love the shape and i think its really changed the look of my face.
I went to benefit and asked about the eyebrows and the lovely lady filled my brows and made them look really good. I wasn't impressed with the price!
The benefit Brow Zings its lovely but its £22.50! Which in my opinion is very very expensive for a little set of 2 colours and brushes. So im going to look for something a little less pricey.

Front Cover to go eye-shadows and Sleek palettes.

So i went shopping the other day after reading a thread on Cosmo about this Front Cover to go set, it is half price at only £16 in Boots at the moment. It has shimmery baked and pressed eye shadows, with a palette that you can pop a few shadows into, it means you can take them away with you. (hence the name to go) it also has clear liner that can be used to make eye-shadows in to eye liners, plus a double ended brush. I also got a 2 sleek palettes, original and storm, both amazing! plus a sleek ink eye-liner gel pot. I also got a Love ect. solid perfume from Body Shop- which i also love.

I did a very experimental look with the Front Cover set, i used the colour Pale Gold all over the lid, i used a colour Bright Aqua underneath my lower lashes in a thin line. Then using the clear liquid liner i used the colour Copper Coin and Pale Gold together to make a dark liner for the top of my lashes.

:)

Hey guys, sorry i haven't posted in soooo long, i have been really busy. The first bit of this post wont be about make-up but the end will :)

I have started my nursing course now and im loving it! Im going on placement soon in a ward, im so excited. Im learning so much, finding some parts difficult though. I guess its like that with any course. I am currently nursing (ha i know) a throat infection (urghhh) which is making me feel rubbishhh! Oh well lemsip to the rescue!

So my 2 favourite people in the world (Jack and Amy) i have spent a lot of time with Jack recently and i love him so much. And Amy can't make me laugh anymore, shes the most amazing friend i could ask for :)

Anyway, make up!! I have tried the new MUA make up at superdrug (through the lovely people at Cosmo.co.uk) I bought lots of different shades of purple (being my favourite colour) and it is beautiful! I lasts for hours and blends really well! It was only £1 too. I also bought a clear mascara for my lower lashes and brows.

So i recommend you get a couple of these (cos they are so cheap) and blending them together, the dark purple works really well on a wet slanted brush as a softer version to a liquid liner.

Sorry i dont have any pictures for you guys... i will upload some soon :) xx

Pantene Aqua Light

I tried this the other day and it was LOVELY! I just used the shampoo and used normal Pantene ProV conditioner. It smells absolutely amazing, my hair is very long and can get quite dry, this worked really well on me!

The smell is amazing, its very fruity, sort of like passion fruit. The shampoo felt soft and with the first wash made my hair feel kinda dry, but the second wash added the moisture back.

I would buy this again and feel my hair is much less weight'd down than using my normal shampoo.

So a list of the products I used in the smokey eye's pictures,
  • Body Shop moisture foundation spf 15- colour 03
  • Rimmel London Stay Matte pressed powder 001
  • Body Shop Shimmer cubes palette 07
  • Barry M penicil limited edition pink and black
  • Maxfactor False Lash Effect mascara in Black

I applied the first colour to my lid all over with the soft No7 brush, the pink colour is first, then I applied the brown colour to the lower part of my lid, covering all over the lid up to the crease. Next I applied the dark purple colour to my lash line, with the liner brush. I used the Barry M black liner and applied it to my lash line, very close to my lashes.

After that I curled my lashes and applied my mascara to my lashes and then used the pink end of the Barry M liner on my lower waterline.

Smokey eyes

So Im a massive fan of smokey eyes, I have been doing them on customers for a while now and started doing them on myself about 4 months back. I don't tend to use black or grey because it is kinda harsh on me. I much prefer blue/brown or purple smokey eyes. I plan on showing you guys later on today :)

I have seen the benefit smokey eye's kit and think its a really good idea, if your a bit new to smokey eyes this looks like a good thing, the only problem is it's price, at £23.50 if your not made of money that's alot! Which is kind of why I don't really buy benefit stuff. I mean it's lovely stuff, but just so overpriced for what it is, I feel that you are paying for the fancy names and cute packaging (which is something I would love if I had the money!) *picture found of the Benefit Website*

I love the fact that the benefit Big Beautiful Eyes set is that it gives you instructions on how to apply, which I think make-up companies should be doing more. The colours in this set are beautiful, soft pink and browns that can be used alone or together to create the smokey eye's look. If I were to get this kit I wouldn't use it alone, you could glam it up with some metalic gold or purple.

As I mentioned before, I will post some pictures of my own smokey eye look later :)

My first post...

So this is my first post, today was my last day a The Body Shop working part time (weekends). I left so I could put 100% into my University course which is Adult Nursing. Anyway my work at The Body Shop has inspired me and fed my addiction to all things beauty and make-up.

Just a little about me, I'm 18 and live in Suffolk, I have been doing my A-levels but received an Unconditional offer for my course and just continued with my Diploma in Health and Social care. I have a boyfriend called Jack and we have been together for nearly 3 years. I have the most amazing best friend called Amy and she is lovely. I'm hoping to meet lots of new people at Uni but still keep all the friends I have at home. I plan on living at home for the first year at Uni because it is a local University, but I really want to move in with Jack next year.

My friends and family mean the world to me and so does make-up and beauty. I am always interested in new and different things in make-up and beauty. Being a student I'm not exactly rich but get a lot of products through work. I do have some expensive products but about 80% are Body Shop.

So with this Blog I am going to show different looks each week, with tips and my own twist on classics and totally new looks. I will do natural looks to a full face of "going out" make-up.

I know there are many other beauty blogs out there but I hope you will be interested to see what I have to show you.
